Barry Michael Phillips Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barry Michael Phillips of Hermitage, Tennessee, who passed away on October 4, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, C. T. Philips, Jr. and Jewell Arnold Phillips; and his former wife Donna Adcock Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Inja O. Peters of Hermitage; his children, Bethany Rigsby (Kevin) and Michael Phillips (Sandra) of Sparta; his stepchildren, Sara Peters of Virginia, Toni Peters of Atlanta, GA and John Peters of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Laurie Rigsby, Lucas Phillips, Logan Phillips, Sydney Rigsby, Layne Phillips, Niam Bhatia, Kalin Bhatia, Ila Bhatia and Valerie Peters; and his siblings, Peggy Hendrixson (Glen), Patsy Judkins (Richard) and Joey Phillips (Karen) of Smithville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Lighthouse Christian Camp or Perry Heights Church of Christ.
