He was predeceased by: his parents, Allard Smith and Edith Robbins Smith; his wife Betty Jean Little; and his siblings, Donald Smith, Doris Copeland, Delta Masiongale Smith and Diana Carr Hummel.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tonya Smith Maddux (Michael) of Murfreesboro and Sandra Sterett of Visalia, California.; his grandchildren, Erika Maddux Vaughn (Austin) of Milton and Cody Maddux (Samantha) of Gulf Breeze; and his great grandchild Makenna Renee Maddux of Gulf Breeze, Florida..
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brown Funeral Chapel (202 W Main St, Byrdstown, TN 38549). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
