It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Mahala in Hermitage, Tennessee, who passed away on October 17, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ciscero Mahala and Vannie Mahala; and his siblings, Pauline Roark, Edna Lewis, Vernon Mahala, Clarence Mahala and Walt Mahala.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Mahala; his children, Elizabeth Mahala and Anthony Mahala; and his siblings, Madeline Parsons, Fred Mahala, Roy Mahala and Billy Joe Mahala. He is also survived by five grandchildren; one great-grandson; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Shady Valley Baptist Church (1339 TN-91, Shady Valley, TN 37688). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
