She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Lewis and Velma Lewis; her husband William Richard Swindle; her sons-in-law, Randall Richards and R. E. Brewer; and her stepson William Swindle Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Connie Renae Richards, Kimberly Carol Shirley and Stephen Staples (Shirley); her stepdaughter Misty Kile (Steve); her grandchildren, Elisha Dimise (Eric), Julia Dalton (Ben), Allison Lundy (Tim), Jaye Brewer (Emily), Renea Rice (Matt), Sabrina Chorpenning (Nic), Holly Staples (Taylor Barnwell), Oliver Staples (Tabitha), Carrie Plunkett (Justin), Taylor Jenkins (Bryson) and Tayrn Kile; her sisters, Patricia Greene (Gary) and Diane Knight; and her siblings' children, Jill Kimzey (Willie) and Josh Knight (Dana). She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, many extended family members and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Frame Cemetery.
