He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Nicholson and Helen Durkat Nicholson; and his brothers, Ronald Nicholson and Robert Nicholson. He is survived by: his wife Betty Francis Nicholson of Hermitage, TN; his children, Kenneth Eugene Nicholson, Jr. of Hermitage, TN, Cynthia Podis (Mark) of Fairview, TN and Suzanne Valliere (Kevin) of Palm Harbor, FL; his grandchildren, Candice Nicholson, Katherine Nicholson, Sarah Hayley West, Jeffrey Podis and Ryan Valliere; his great grandchildren, Brayden Nicholson, Van Nicholson, Cameron West and Osiris Nicholson; and his siblings, Gerald Nicholson and Mary Katherine Saylor of Connellsville, PA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
