He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Kirby and Susie Doyle Smith Russell; and his brothers, Durell Russell and Jack Wayne Russell. He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Prater (Larry) of Hermitage and Beth Prater (Mike) of Mt. Juliet; his grandchildren, Kaitlin Prater (Corbin Middleton) and Russell Prater (Makayla); his great grandchild Rhett Prater; and his sibling's children, Ricky Russell and Teresa Reid.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Anderson & Son Funeral Home & Memorial Park - Lafayette (997 Hwy 52 E, Lafayette, TN 37083). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at the Thomas Cemetery (1801 Willette Rd, Red Boiling Springs, TN 37150).
