He is survived by: his wife Ginger Sanford Mathis; his children, Patrick Mathis of Split, Croatia, Kecia Rey (Trent Rey) of Cleveland, GA, Sean Mathis of Toccoa, GA and Jennifer Massengale (Russell Massengale); his grandchildren, Victoria Rey (Brian Yontz) of Brooklyn, NY and Tucker Rey (Alexis Rey) of Carrollton, GA; his great grandchild Brooks Rey of Carrollton, GA.; and his granddaughter Glacier National Park.
