He was predeceased by: his father Jesse Pendergrass; and his wife Mary Elizabeth Mantooth Pendergrass. He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Pendergrass Thomas and Frankie Pendergrass Honeycutt; his grandchildren, Jeff Whitfield, Nathan Whitfield, Benjamin Whitfield (Bonnie), Jenny Whitfield Castro (Armando), Kenneth Honeycutt and Derrick Honeycutt; and his great grandchildren, Amon Whitfield, Luna Castro, Magnolia Whitfield and Stella Castro.
