In the vast expanse of eternity, Bettye Lou shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Bettye Lou farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Repps Corban Marable and Emily Louise Gunn Marable. She is survived by: her husband Donald R. Stone; and her children, Donald Corban Stone (Peggy) of Gadsden, AL, Emily Anna Stone Garrett (John), Robert Daniel Stone (Luci) and Elizabeth Lee Stone Turner (Rollin) of Chattanooga. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren who love each other and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home (5401 TN-153, Hixson, TN 37343). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Bible Village and Ridgedale Baptist Church, Chattanooga.
