He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Qualls and Jack Emler; his grandparents, Aline and Clay Qualls; and his aunts and uncles, Walt, Ken Qualls, Sheila Kerr and Connie Milligan.

He is survived by: his wife Janna Dillard Emler; his children, Emma, Evan and Riley; his sisters, Tonya Stanford (Jermey) and Danna Milligan; his nephews, Chris and Braylee; his aunts, Bernie Qualls and Diane Qualls; and his uncle Sammy Qualls.
