With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Curtis Leatherwood (Hixson, Tennessee), who passed away on August 26, 2019 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilburn Neal and Bertie Hicks Leatherwood; his wife Lacie; his son Stephen; his siblings, Nell Dhaemers and Neal Leatherwood; and his granddaughter Crystal Moats.

He is survived by: his children, Kathy Owen (Sam), David Leatherwood (Debbie) and Jeff Leatherwood (Janice); his sisters, Kay Pack and Patricia Gibson; and his grandchildren, Becky Williams (James), Edward Owen, Stephen Owen, Shannon Leatherwood (Andrea), Shawn Leatherwood (Heather), Brent Leatherwood (Meredith), Laura Laffitte (Ron), Wade Leatherwood and Claire Leatherwood. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Memorial contributions can be made to New Salem Baptist Church.
