He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Hope and Aileen Hope. He is survived by: his sister Patsy; his brother-in-law Randy Martin; his nieces and nephews, Jeff Martin, Stacey Ladd (Robb) and Melissa Brooks (Tim); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Bailey Ladd, Tripp Ladd, Emma Ladd, Tim Brooks III, Tara Brooks and Gibbs Brooks; and also Lawson Ladd.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in David's memory to St. Elmo United Methodist Church where David was a life-long member.
