He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Nichols; and his parents, Malhon Nichols and Gertrude Nichols. He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Huckabee and Don "Chip" Nichols (Kristy); his grandchildren, Rachel Huckabee, Jacob Huckabee, Ansley Friedman (Andrew "Brian") and Abigail Nichols; his siblings, Ronnie Nichols (Joyce) and Emily Kelly; and his pet Lukey. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
