Dorothea Broome Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothea Broome of Hixson, Tennessee, who passed away on August 30, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Hamilton L. Broome, Sr.; her parents, Carl Simmons and Hazel Simmons; and her sisters, Faye Johnson (William), Fern Slater (Al) and Polly Steave (Johnny).

She is survived by: her children, Hamilton L. Broome, Jr. (Leisa), Eddie Broome (Patsy), Tim Broome (Susan), Polly Ann Hamby (Mike), Jimmy Brown (Linda) and Danny Burkhart (Bunny); and her parents-in-law, Fletcher Broome and Ann Smith. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations can be made to Middle Valley Baptist Church (7901 Middle Valley Rd, Hixson, TN 37343.).
