Edna Meeker Matthews Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edna Meeker Matthews of Hixson, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 28, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Meeker and Mollie Moore Meeker; her husband Robert Matthews; and her siblings, Horace, Kyle, Harvie, Freeman, Ruby Meeker, Charlsie Peters, Dora Hawes, Dorothy Gentry and Sue Parrish.
She is survived by: her daughters, Anita Cagle (David), Roberta Stafford (Bob) and Linda Dickerson (Tim); her granddaughters, Amanda Poynter, Sarah Vaughn (Michael), Christina Coats (Andrew) and Victoria Moller (Tyler); and her sisters, Amanda Gentry, Kathryn Hallman and Jean Meeker. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.
