He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Ellen Dent; his parents, Eula Dent and Clarence Dent; his siblings, Earl Dent, Carlos Dent, Gary Dent and Elisabeth Williams; his children, Larry Dent and Donna Cranfield; and his granddaughters, Shannon Dent, Brandy Cranfield and Miranda Marler.

He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Agee (Fred) and Angela McLaughlin (Mark); his son-in-law Jimmy Cranfield; and his grandchildren, Larry Dent (Robin), Chad Marler (Mimi), Aleasha Henry (Tyler), Amanda Voytik (Chad), Zach McLaughlin (Tracey) and Josh Cranfield (Carlee). He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
