He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Combs and Emma Combs; and his siblings, Thomas, Clyde, Thelma and Helen.
He is survived by: his wife Emma Lena Combs of Cohutta, GA; his daughter Connie Westberry; his son-in-law Bobby; his son Freddie Combs; his daughter-in-law Annette; his grandchildren, Austin Combs, Abigail Long, Jade Livingston and Emma Mae Combs; and his great grandchildren, Gavin, Daniel and Gracie. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home (4506 Hixson Pike, Hixson, TN 37343). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Hamilton Memorial Gardens (5351 TN-153, Hixson, TN 37343).
In lieu of flowers the family wishes for any donations to be made to Hixson First Baptist Church in Ernest's name.
