Luther left this world on August 1, 2025 at the age of 79, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his father Luther Herman Mayfield Sr.; his sisters, Alta, Norma Faye and Willa Dean; his son Michael; and his stepson Jon.
He is survived by: his wife Kaaren Mayfield; his sons, Karl (Renee), Kurtis (Karen) and Kris (Joann); and his stepchildren, Sue (Tony) and Kim. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Fraser's Chapel Church (5930 Big Bottom Rd, Sparta, TN 38583). A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
