It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary McGill Vroom of Hixson, Tennessee, born in Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on October 2, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Mary McGill is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Mary McGill's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene McGill and Elsie McGill; and her husband Dennis Vroom. She is survived by: her sons, Dennis (Donna) and James (Kim); her grandchildren, Dennis Carl Vroom and Carolyn Marie Vroom; her sister Jeanne Marshburn; and her brother-in-law Dr. Fred Q. Vroom. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home (4506 Hixson Pike, Hixson, TN 37343). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
