We are sad to announce that, on February 4, 2022, at the age of 84, Peggy Elkins of Hixson, Tennessee, born in Birmingham, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Ethel Pauline Brookshire (Hugh D. Elkins) of Birmingham; and her granddaughter Hope Elise Johnson of Trussville, Alabama.. She is survived by: her daughters, Melanie Sherer (Bob) of Pelham, Cortney Johnson (Susan) of Trussville and Shawn Johnson of Chattanooga; and her grandchildren, Lacey Deshazo (Daniel) of Trussville, Logan Johnson (Natalie) of Trussville, Patrick Sherer (Madison) of Birmingham, Peyton Johnson of Chattanooga, Presley Zessin (Tyler) of Florala and Maddie Johnson of Chattanooga. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
