He was predeceased by: his former wife Melba Coppinger; and his sons, Mark and Lamar Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Marcia Jones; and his children, Emily Fancher, Dawn Puckett and Tim Phillips.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Coppinger Cemetery.
