He was predeceased by: his former wife Jane Brien Applewhite; and his parents, Nina Lee Parnell and Stephen R. Applewhite. He is survived by: his sister Lota Greer of Dunlap Tennessee; his children, Susan Bush (Jack) of Athens, Georgia, Robert A. "Chip" Applewhite (Mary Jo) of Hudson, Brien Applewhite (Chris) of Ooltewah and Michael S. Applewhite of San Angelo, Texas; and his grandchildren, Greg Applewhite, Katie Bogucki, Kipper Bush, Megan Guinn, David Bush, Daniel Bush, Matt Applewhite, Kriston Applewhite and Kali Applewhite.
