He was predeceased by: his wife Eunice Cookston Sanders; his parents, Joseph Sanders and Cora Sanders; his great grandchild William Spencer Sowrey; and his siblings, Ruby Girdley, Cora Tisdale and Howard Sanders.
He is survived by: his children, Vanessa Sowrey and David Anthony; his daughter-in-law Sonja Sanders; and his grandchildren, Brittan Sanders, Brandon (Kate) and Tyler Sowrey.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home (5401 TN-153, Hixson, TN 37343). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the North Chapel (5401 TN-153, Hixson, TN 37343). A burial will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Bryant Cemetery.
