As Shirley Cox departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Shirley Cox. Though Shirley Cox may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her husband Bernard Young Glidewell; her parents, Mildred Vosburg Cox and Earl Burch Cox; her brother Charles William Cox; her sister-in-law Wilma Dell Cox; and her brother Ertie Nick Cox.
She is survived by: her daughter Anne Glidewell Bridgforth (Jeff) of Hixson; her grandchildren, Katy, Ryan and Lydia; her son Michael Glidewell (Sarah) of Las Cruces; and her grandchildren, Micah and Owen.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cox Funeral Homes - Bastrop Chapel (611 N Washington St, Bastrop, LA 71220).
