He is survived by: his wife Ouida Earlice Benton of Hixson, Tennessee; his children, Leslie Anne Benton of Sarasota, Susan Camille Benton (Louis Kluger) of Alexandria, Virginia and John Jason Benton (Ana Carolina Benton) of Chattanooga, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Tanner Ochs Sandor, Olivia Benton Ware, Piper Violet Kluger and Chloe Marie Benton; and his brother Jerry Dean Benton of Cartersville, Georgia. He is also survived by two nephews and one niece.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Nine Mile Community Church Cemetery Fund c/o Sandra Sales at PO Box 296 Ellijay, GA 30540 in memory of Mr. Benton.
