With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lillian Lois Gunter of Hohenwald, Tennessee, who passed away on April 23, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Tanner and Annie Maude Constant Tanner; her spouse Hershal Ray Gunter; her son Timothy Ray Gunter; her daughter-in-law Sherry Gunter; her brothers, Leman Tanner, Alton Tanner and Ronnie Tanner; her siblings-in-law, Virginia Tanner and Steve Kennedy; her granddaughter Lilly Gunter; and her great grandchild Logan Webb.

She is survived by: her children, Anita Johnston and Matthew Gunter; her siblings, Jerry Tanner (Peggy), Michael Tanner (Karyn), Teresa Kennedy and Rebecca Tanner; her sisters-in-law, Linda Tanner and Glenda Tanner; her grandchildren, Derrick Johnston (Melissa), Nicole Webb (Bobby), Alex Gunter (Sarah) and Eli Gunter (Raven); her great grandchildren, Isaac Webb (Taylor), Ashton Webb, Davin Johnston (Zoey), Emma Johnston, Cole Runions and Jake Runions (Rose); and her great great grandchildren, Braxton Webb, Blakeleigh Nau, Timmy Nau, Jacey Ball and Beau Runions. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
