He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Yates and Susan Yates (Darnall); and his brothers, Tom Yates and Glen Yates. He is survived by: his sons, Russ Yates (Kristin) of Union City and Robert Yates III (Tamara) of Dyersburg; his grandchildren, Connor Yates of Union City, Collin Yates of Union City and Chandler Yates of Union City; and his son Molina Yates of Dyersburg.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Hornbeak City Cemetery (212 Cemetery Rd, Hornbeak, TN 38232).
