She was predeceased by : her grandparents, James R. Martin, Sr., Dorothy Cole Martin, Samuel Lee Pearson and Velma Pearson Achols of Virginia. She is survived by : her parents, James R. Martin, Jr. and Felita Martin, Jr.; her children, Kyren and Bria; her sister Hailey Pearson-Roberts; her friend Bruce Kelly; and her caregiver Francesca Martin. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was always willing to give to charity and the community.
