He was predeceased by : his parents, Louise Martin and James Martin; his wife Mary Martin; his son Richard Martin; and his sister Joyce Maharrey.

He is survived by : his sister Kay Parsons (Larry) of Covington; his grandsons, Wesley Gordon (Jennifer) of Yorkville, TN and Jeffery Gordon (Kristin) of Humboldt; and his nieces and nephews, April Butler (Tim) of Covington, Tammy Troutman (Ricky) of Ripley, Mark Parsons (Melissa) of Millington and Bo Maharrey (Janice) of Covington. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Covington Funeral Home (3499 U. S. 51 S, Covington, TN 38019).
