She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Monroe Johnson and Minnie Mitchell Johnson; her daughter Renee Taylor; her siblings, John William "Johnny" Johnson, Walter Johnson (Lewis G. "Tootsie" Johnson) and Evelyn Blurton; and her grandchildren, Amy Dinkins and Jimmy Dinkins.
She is survived by: her son David Byon Thomas Jr. of Humboldt, TN. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
