She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Dorthula Coleman (Robinson) and Albert Coleman; her children, James Albert, James Thomas, Lena B Lowery (Roosevelt), Victoria Epperson (Phillip), Bobbie Vonner (Otha), Bertha A Wells (Isaiah) and Helen Cox; and her siblings, Daniel, Marshall, David, Ollie, Charlie, Everlean Brown, Essie Lee Johnson and Ella Mae Wash.

She is survived by: her spouse Tommie McCurrie; her children, T. L. McCurrie (Sarah), John McCurrie (Betty), William McCurrie, Frank McCurrie (Diane) and Nancy J. McCurrie; her grandchildren, Derrick Motley, Rose J. Ward of Maury City, TN and Carl Epperson (Lois) of Huntsville, AL; and her children-in-law, Elizabeth McCurrie and George Eugene Cox. She is also survived by Grandchildren (265) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
