He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Meggs and Ola Patterson Meggs; and his brothers, Johnny Meggs, Wayne Meggs and Ray Meggs.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Meggs; his children, Karen Williams (James) of McLemoresville, Christy Trevathan (Keith) of Huntingdon, Jennifer Eason (Steven) of McKenzie and Tony Meggs of Cedar Grove; his stepsons, Bobby Carroll of Huntingdon and Jerry Carroll of Milan; his siblings, Debbie Bunn (Darrell) of McKenzie, Sara Glisson of Huntingdon and Randy Meggs (Jenean) of Huntingdon; his grandchildren, Ashley Futrell, Heather Mysinger, Amber Eason and Christopher Eason; his stepgrandchildren, Kaitlyn Wales and Cody Carroll; his great grandchildren, Brycen Futrell, Anzleigh Futrell, Buckley Futrell, Ada Mysinger, Easton Rawls and Addilee Mysinger; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Owen Wales and Klaire Wales.
