As Dorothy departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Dorothy may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Dorothy leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Daniel Mitchell and Sarah Emmie Mitchell (Whitehorn); her husband Billy Carnell; her siblings, Lula Nell Scott, Robert Mitchell and Denver Mitchell; and her son Dennis Allen.
She is survived by: her sons, Danny Ray Mitchell (Pat) of Trezevant and Donald L. Carnell (Becky) of Horn Lake; and her sister Barbara Ellis. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great- grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
