He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Pate and Aline Pate; and his brother Wayne Pate. He is survived by: his wife Paula Pate of Huntingdon, Tennessee; and his siblings, Charles Pate of Powder Springs, Georgia, Frances Hesselgrave of Marietta, Joyce McCoy of Buchanan and Linda Pate of Jackson, Tennessee. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
