It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melissa Kaye Ellis of Huntingdon, Tennessee, who passed away on December 28, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Melissa shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Melissa farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, J. L. Taylor and Sadie Mae Goodrum Taylor; her husband Mike Ellis; and her sister Carole Bauman. She is survived by: her children, Stephanie McMackin (Renee) of Buena Vista, Brandi Ellis of McKenzie, Tennessee, Kevin McMackin (Bobbie Jo) of Mixie and Michael McMackin of Montana; and her siblings, Jan Hollowell of Huntingdon, Tennessee and Jimmy Dale Taylor of Huntingdon, Tennessee. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
