It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Joyce Rowland of Huntingdon, Tennessee, who passed away on June 10, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William L. Bates and Henryetta Bates (Sawyer); her husband Marshall Rowland; her daughter Joyce Smith; her great grandchild Atticus Finn Ecker; and her siblings, Carol Saxon, Frances Gibbs, Ronnie Bates and Charles Bates.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Laws (Phillip), Tammy Barnes (Chuck) and Bennie Rowland (Caroline); and her grandchildren, Daniel Laws, Rachel Henry, Josh Balentine, Lori Dickinson, Ryan Balentine, Heather Pace, Jacob Ecker, Holly Presley, Nick Rowland and Megan Rowland.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home (21190 E Main St, Huntingdon, TN 38344). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
