She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Bennett and Hattie Davis Bennett; her husband Troy Edward Smith; her daughter Laurie Horton; and her brothers, Paul Bennett, Yates Bennett, Wayne Bennett and Douglas Bennett.

She is survived by: her sons, Troy Edward Smith, Jr. (Mary) of Warner Robins and Patrick Smith (Anita) of Huntingdon; and her grandchildren, Philip Issler (Lisa) of Apex, Bart Horton (Neka) of Jackson and Amy Horton Bunton (Michael) of Nashville. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
