He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett C. Hughett and Reeda Patton Rector; his wife Karen Lindquist Hughett; his stepparents, Marcella Hughett and Ernest Rector; his sisters, Loretta Phillips McGuire, Phyllis Rector Marlow and Lorene Hughett Rollins; and his nieces, Andrea Galleo (Dave) and Cindy Rollins.
He is survived by: his daughter Denise Ann Hughett Snow (Dan) of Divide, Colorado; his sisters, Kay Peavyhouse of Helenwood and Deneice Daniels of Germantown, Tennessee; and his nieces and nephews, Gaya Phillips, Tony Phillips (Debbie), Sonja Rogers (Andy), Reecia Lovett (James), Derita Phillips (Scott), Rhonda Davis (Barry), Ernie Marlow (Cammie), Chris Daniels and Chloe Daniels. He is also survived by 24 great-nieces and great-nephews, 29 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
