We announce the death of James Thomas of Indian Mound, Tennessee, who passed away on September 2, 2026, at the age of 78. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. James will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. James’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle E. Thomas and Thelma Mae Thomas. He is survived by: his daughter Jessie Thomas; his siblings, Robert Thomas, Marie Johnson and Carol Rorie; and his stepsister Jeanna Stevens.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Dunbar Chapel Cemetery (2775 TN-46, Indian Mound, TN 37079).
