She was predeceased by: her parents, Aaron Johnson and Virginia Wolfe Johnson Riddle; her stepfather Ernest Riddle; her spouse Halbert Burkhart; and her significant other John Byrd.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cynthia Byrd Winfrey (late Clay Winfrey), Carrie Byrd Peppers (Danny) and Margaret Byrd Burkhart; and her sister Janice Bryant. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 9 great great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery (215-201 TN-46, Indian Mound, TN 37079).
