He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Nicholson and Macie Bell Daughtery Hollis; his wife Joanna Merle Almon; and his siblings, Norman Hollis and Marjorie Hewlett.
He is survived by: his children, Jody Hollis (Angie) of Iron City, TN, Deanna Mussleman (Matt) of Iron City, TN and Deborah Ragan (Bill) of Florence, AL; his grandchildren, Alex Mussleman (Cassidy), Nick Hollis, Will Ragan (Misty), Macie Mussleman (Anthony), Ben Ragan (Michaela) and Sam Ragan; and his great grandchildren, Molly Blaire, Sawyer, Foster Mussleman, Cole, Liam, Hudson Ragan and Addie Ragan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
