He was predeceased by: his wife Brenda Massengill; his parents, Alonzo Massengill and Winnie Asbury Massengill (Sis); and his siblings, Rubin Massengill, Mayme Lou Williams, Ada Sue Goins and Wanda Massengill.
He is survived by: his children, LaDonna Massengill, DeAnna Robertson, Alyson Massengill (Miles Crowther) and George Massengill; his grandchildren, Kendall Robertson, Travis Swift, Erica Booker Jordan, Jake, Matt, Maggie Massengill and Sonny Crowther; his great grandchildren, Aaliyah Booker, Maxi Jo Gonzalez and Shyloh Swift; and his brother Rusty Massengill.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Caryville First Baptist Church or CORA.
