He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Neal and Carrie Walker Rushing; his wife Bettye Jo Nanney; his son Steven Dan Rushing; his granddaughter Shelby Lynne Rushing; and his siblings, Nancy Ann Rushing Bell (Cooper), Williams (Joseph Burton), Dorothy Wilson (Bob), Annette McNeal (Pete), Richard Rushing (Betty), Chester Rushing (Pat) and Jimmy Rushing (Barbara).
He is survived by: his granddaughter Taylor Marie Rushing; and his daughter-in-law Kathy Harber. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be directed to the American Cancer Society, or to a charity of your choice.
