She is survived by: her mother Aud Staumo Hazlehurst; her siblings, George Edward Hazlehurst (Andrea), Rolf Gulbrand Staumo Hazlehurst (Mandee) and Alicia Hazlehurst Payne (Parker Payne); her husband John Vernon Garrard; her daughters, Anne Elizabeth of Jackson, TN, Mary Caroline (Neville Whitehead) of Jackson, MS and Eleanor Hazlehurst of Jackson, TN.; her niece Sarah Hazlehurst; and her nephews, Yates Hazlehurst, Dane, Caden, Carter, Declan Lochbaum and Gray Payne.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Jackson, TN or to the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in Nashville, TN.
