She was predeceased by: her parents, Edman Haford McCoy and Clara Elizabeth Horton McCoy; and her husband James Parten. She is survived by: her son Jim Parten (Amy); and her granddaughters, Rebecca Parten and Cara Parten.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask for memorials to be made to Poplar Heights Baptist Church or Angela Hospice of Livonia, MI.
