He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Farris and Mary Lorraine Clayton (Brooks); his wife Linda McGee Clayton; and his siblings, Paul Clayton, Elaine Weatherford and Martha McLaughlin.
He is survived by: his children, Kathryn Lee Clayton of Memphis, TN and Douglass Brooks Clayton (Jenny) of Franklin, TN; his grandsons, Jackson of Franklin, TN and William of Franklin, TN; his siblings, John Clayton (Doris) of Brentwood, TN, Mary Douglass of Brentwood, TN and Hope Koebbe of Kirkwood, MO; and his sister-in-law Carolyn Clayton of Brentwood, TN..
