He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ed Nichols and Beulah Robbs Nichols; and his siblings, Dr. James Robbs Nichols (Johnnie) and Eddie Muriel Mason Weaver. He is survived by: his wife Mary Alice Greer Nichols; his children, Mike Nichols (Debbie) and Dr. Lee Nichols Russell (Jim Russell); his grandchildren, William Nichols (Erin Nichols), Marianne Nichols, Dr. Ryan Russell (Danielle), Haley Russell and Dr. Hannah Russell Johns (Gray); his great grandchild Aria Nichols; his niece Tina Nichols Benson (Crayton Robert); his great-nieces, Stephanie Raby and Nichi Knox (Forrest); and his nieces, Teresa Lass (John) and Brenda Narvin.
