He was predeceased by: his parents, George Fenner Giles, Sr. and Ethel Pomeroy Giles; his sister Frances Katherine Giles Watson of Lenoir City, TN; and his wife Sylvia Buck Giles. He is survived by: his children, Charles Wesley Giles (Selina) of Jackson, TN, Carolyn Cherry (Donald) of Henderson, TN, Connie Casey of Birmingham, AL and Patty Parris (Dale) of Murrells Inlet, SC.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be directed to First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1730 Highway 45 Bypass, Jackson, TN 38305.
