He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Luther Monks and Louise Wright Monks; and his wife Betty Harrison Monks. He is survived by: his children, Morgan Monks, Charles Monks, Jr. (Rebecca) and Susan Logan (Kevin); and his sister Amelia Haithcoat. He is also survived by five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
