With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cora Simpson Shires of Jackson, Tennessee, born in Middleton, Tennessee, who passed away on August 8, 2021 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Grady Simpson, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Simpson (Rogers); her husband James Everett Shires, Sr.; her son James Everett Shires, Jr.; and her siblings, Jack Simpson, Jr., Harold Simpson, Jerry Whaley and Pat Elliott.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Michael Shires and Steven Shires; her sister-in-law Ruth Hall Simpson; Sherri Shires of Las Vegas, NV. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
